... Continuing Lizard 1&2 Piece.

Here is my final piece of Mr Lizard 2, I finally finished it off with gradually getting darker and bringing the chest shell out more as well as the arms. I am glad I got one piece done in another colour before i done this one. It was really interesting getting the bumps on the neck with a very bright glow. I didnt want the image to be similar as the one i did before. I was trying to get them both to have completely different looks and that is exactly what i was going for.

This Lizard piece was a different colour design and approach. I wanted to go in to this with a different look and effect. I got a bit of inspiration from turtles. I first started of with the colour scheme i put on the side to start off with. Once i had put the first initial colours on the lizard body i knew how to work from then onwards. Like i said before the arms and shell as i call it (chest) was also something i had to focus on also. It helped me give the look of the turtle and the properties it has. This time i didnt have the issue of not mixing the colours well and efficiently. Infact this time i got the colour scheme sorted quicker than before as i already had complete it before in a different style.

The only part i found slightly stressful was the clash or the light and dark goldish grey colours. The chest and arms needed a a lot of attention. However when the piece got more paint on it, the whole piece gradually got darker, but i wanted to initially keep it fairly light at the same time. Once the shade got darker and darker if i brought more light to it. It wouldnt look right so i elaborated by adding the bumps on the neck to give it that dinosaur look. As it shares the same qualities.

This was my final finished piece of the lizard dude assignment we was given. I finally got over the problems that arose when I had first initially started the piece. Once I started to darken the image and look of the lizard character i focused more on the arms and how it gives that dangerous look to the sharp edges and the other arm that has sharp pikes as another weapon. They both needed attention, so i began to work on giving it that rock hard imagery to compliment that lizard, superior, rough look with strong arms. Then finished off to give it that shadow to bring the piece out a bit more to the lizard dude stands out on the page.

After all the main error which started to bug me out was mainly the body painting getting the right tone and shade in contrast to the the rest of the body. Making sure the arms have a very intimidating effect as well. Considering its a monster, I wasnt too concerned on the eyes and feet enough which could of done with more work but that mistake has been learnt and will be taken in to consideration before my next piece.
