Temple

This was my final attempt at the temple i unfortunately didnt get enough time to put the materials as i spent a bit long on this but i foun problems with extruding and and keeping the shapes straight and accurate luckily i sent time on it again and got it done. The pillars were also tricky as i had to make sure that they were the same size and length

Dwarf work

This is my final warf piece that i done i roughly spent a while on this what i had to basically was to focus on the height colouring and and the face. What i then done was focus more on the darkness to make it more realistic and smooht as i look to use the burn tool

Dwarf Work

This is my dwarf work ive done and i first started off with my drawing outline with a bit of colouring. As i lost the file i had to re do it again. I found it quite a interesting task to do but then i needed more colour aswell as using th burn tool and dodge tool. It came across that i needed to make the body outfit more darker and realistic so i attempted doing that

Elf Drawing

This the anatomy work we was given and it helps understand the basic bone names and where they are around the body. It also helps with body structure and how you can draw your concept character with this the skeleton shape

Character Design Homework

When I was given this assignment to design the insect based character for homework, i decided I wanted to give it features relating to assassins as i thought it would link well with the shape of the insect i was drawing initially. Also i intended to give it the same stance the assassins creed character has but with more of a creepy insect feel towards it. With the research I started of with the body shape then the clothes and main body features for the character. As im still due to colour and detail the clothing and insect features i will upload the finished piece.

Finished Alien Halloween Monster Task

This was my final stage on completing the Alien Monster task for Halloween. Combined with the first draft which was few sketches detailing the ideas i was coming up with to start from. Also with help of the research moodboard i came with from Google image search. I first started of with drawing the one most appealing to me and began with the basic outline and what colours i was going to use. Then i began on getting straight in with the colouring. However one mistake i made was not leaving a layer before i started colouring where it shows just the drawing on photoshop. However i enjoyed this task as it also helped me with my painting skills.

Maya Work

This is some of the work i have produced on maya. I was given some task to create tool, stools and a gas pump. At the moment the biggest challenge i came across was the gas pump. As you can see i am half done and added a material in the mean time for now. As yet i have more things to correct and texturing to do. But will upload that once i am done. Also i gave a shot at the hammer and prybar which was fairly simple and quick, looking quite effective once texturing is added on aswell. This helped advance my skills and knowledge on maya as i learnt more through the tutorials.

Halloween Monster Mood board Research

These are the initial images I researched online to help me get started with my halloween monster task. Next i will begin sketching some ideas to start with then finish off and pick one specific drawing i would like to finish on photoshop

Completed One Sheet

This is my combined finished one sheet that i finally finished, I wanted to put all the information on one sheet as that was the initial idea. Now the next job from now is to work on designing the layout of the map on Maya

Finished Gun Concept Task

This here is the finished complete task done on the futuristic gun concept along with a character. I went on to finishing off the jacket as much as possible as it was the main part of the image that stood out. I did not want it to come across to plain and boring so added more bold dark colours also with the help of the burn tool. The colour on the side initiate the colours I incorporated in to the design and finally came up with this finished piece. I do however plan to make more practise on my face colouring as I could of perhaps worked on it more.

Futuristic Gun Concept Beginning Stages

This piece here is my Futuristic gun concept I done but haven't yet completed. I wanted to upload the first draft before the final piece is done to demonstrate the process. Here i wanted to add a character holding the gun to give it more of a better approach and effect. I first started of with what colours i wanted to use and how dark and bold i wanted it to appear. The next stage will be the nearly finished product and then after will be the final piece.

Map Sketch For Game Encounters

This is the map i sketched for the game I will be looking to design. It gives of the idea of how the game will be set out. There will be a 1st floor and a 2nd floor. The map operates in a castle like area quite old fashioned style with trees surrounding the outsides. I know now i have the map sketched out the harder part will be actually designing the layout on unity. So i can get a realistic look of my map for the game. In case of any changes i will upload further images referring to my preparation before i actually start making the game. As for now this will be the ideal map il be attempting to make on unity in a more realistic way.

Game Encounter One Sheet Prep

This was my one sheet I have done partly on photoshop and my sketchbook. The basics concept of what I am trying to accomplish. This one sheet describes how the game works and the main rules and objectives. I felt from looking at the example given to me by Ewan I wanted to explain as much as possible on what im going for. I also wanted to draw a rough skecth on photo shop on how the first person shooter game would eventually look like. I know i may have some things to work on but there is more to come from this process and vital information needed to help get an understanding of the game i am trying to produce.

Perspective Drawing Task

This was my first initial drawing, after using the research I found online helping me start of my task. I felt that it would be beneficial to start of with getting the grips of the basics before going on to designing buildings and landmarks using one point perspective. However in the end it appeared to be a decent first attempt at doing perspective drawing. I found it very interesting the way the lines all meet at one point, where the vanishing point is located. It really adds to your skills in sketching something from a unusual angle.

Perspective Drawing Moodboard

Perspective one point drawing appeared to be a different way of looking at a image from a different position. It demonstrated to me that no matter what angle your looking at when drawing something to match your vision form where your standing, perspective drawing helps you understand how to put this into practise. I started of by finding few examples before starting, off how to get a rough idea on what to do and how it should be done.

Skull and Tentacles Final Piece

This was my final skull and tentacles piece I was working on and background. Before i started the background i knew i had to add something behind as i could see something was missing. I then decided also that the skull needed more attention so with the burn and dodge tool it helped me achieve a more interesting look towards the skull and tentacles. The crack lines gives off the idea as if something is taking it apart as the tentacles exit out the mouth. To me it looks a bit spooky and edgy, along with the background  to give it that portal look. The colours used in the back i think was sensible and very relative also. I didnt want it to look to dark so added more of the dodge tool in the back also

Skull and tentacles 1st Draft

This was my first initial draft after coming up with the research. But I knew I had a lot to to make it complete and at the standard I wanted it to be at. I wanted to work on the skull interior and definitely the tentacles as it looked to cartoony, as I was going for a more realistic effect once it was finished on photoshop

Skull & Tentacles

This is the moodboard for preparation for the skull and tentacles task, looking at some of the images i researched it definitely gave me inspiration on what to design. I wanted something fierce but also interesting I tried different ideas to come up with but wanted it to be effective once it would be finished. These images definitely gave me ideas on what to start with but I had few errors when i started. I did not however do sketches, but merely all just on photoshop

Monster Silhouettes

The Monster Silhouette task was an interesting one I realised from doing simple designs in a black silhouette is a starting point on how to help you understand what your concept on a character may come out to look like. I enjoyed just using my imagination to experiment with different aspects in shapes, weapons and sizes of them. Each one has its on personality described just from the silhouettes. And i hope to use these techniques in the future with my work further on in the year.

Alien Caterpillar Dude

This was my alien caterpillar dude assignment I was given in class to complete. One thing ill admit i actually didnt use the outline given to colour in through as considering I thought I should try free hand myself although the line work was not as bold. However the process was quite enjoyable and fun to do. I've learnt from my mistakes and now know the areas to work on. I also thought add a background to give it more shadow and effect to the painting. This is one of the first assignments and there will be plenty more to come!
